The re-imagination of this apartment was the first self-led project by HAS. Combining the role of architect and developer, we were fully involved in all stages of the project whilst also completing the majority of the construction work.

Starting with a dated and dingy studio flat, almost every internal wall was reconfigured in order to create a separate bedroom. By knocking through the previously enclosed kitchen to create an open plan kitchen and living space, natural light has been brought much deeper into the floor plan.

The refined material palette of white-oiled birch plywood, black Valchromat, oak  flooring and monochrome tones flow through and unite the new rooms created. Bespoke and practical joinery solutions sit seamlessly within the spaces, creating numerous options for one to inhabit them.
